We had a number of chapters that were involved with International Animation Day Celebrations in 2017. Participant information was gathered from Vanessa Ventura previous to the event and may not accurately reflect the chapters that eventually celebrated IAD with their communities. Multiple events, including film exchanges, animation workshops and screenings of international films, were hosted by ASIFA Chapters as part of IAD 2017 celebrations. Here is a list of this year's participating chapters:

  • Australia

  • China Xiamen

  • Croatia

  • France

  • Germany

  • Hellas

  • India

  • Israel

  • Japan

  • Lithuania
  • Mexico

  • Poland

  • Portugal

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Taiwan

  • USA Central

  • USA East

  • USA San Francisco

  • USA South

It was reported that approximately 3720 people participated in this past years events around the globe. All exchange programs presented by our chapters were provided to the public free with the exception being workshops or feature films coinciding with IAD events. All the chapters used a form of the poster designed this year by - Noureddin Zarrinkelk and Negar Zarrinkelk except for ASIFA Israel which had another poster designed.

Below you will see a simple graph that shows attendance numbers as reported from our chapters. Poland put on the most events this year with a staggering 10 events in 9 cities not including 3 workshops, China had the most attendees.
