"Animatrix"- an Anime Style Matrix Series
"Animatrix" is a series of animated shorts that will show us how the world got from what it is today to the world of the Matrix. Created by renowned Japanese animation directors and artists, the 10-episode series is set to conclude before the release of the first sequel to The Matrix in 2003.

Rumored to work on the project are "Square USA", the studio behind "Final Fantasy". Despite previous reports that the studio is dead, it seems that most employees still remain, and are hard at work on various projects, including some Matrix-related ones.
